I'm looking for an Amiga MIDI interface with multiple OUTs (preferably from the USA). Please send me a PM if you have one. Thanks.
-
I will settle for 2 OUTs if available somewhere in the USA.
-
I cant sell you one, but I made one ages ago from some schematics found on aminet

Orb, best best I say, is to check any local sales, resale shops, etc. Years ago, I got 2 miggy MIDI interfaces in a box of computer 'junk', sold one, and sorry, I am keeping the one with 2 OUTs. it IS aggravating tho, I have the MIDI interface, OctaMed SoundStudio + like 3 other MIDI programs... but I can't afford a real synth... :(
-
Pester me next week sometime. I have a GoldenHawk with IN, OUT, THRU/OUT and (Im pretty sure) another OUT, that I'm keeping, but I'm almost positive I have another unit like it in the garage.
-
Would it not be easier to use a single out and use a MIDI splitter like the Kenton Thru-5?
-
Thanks guys -- I found one elsewhere, so I'm all set now.

What type of synth are you looking for? In the US, there's tons of used stuff available, much of it at dirt-cheap prices (for 80s/90s gear).

Midi Out from the Amiga to Midi In on your PC and feed it to as many VST's as you like.
No need for hardware synths.

Orb, well, I'd be totally happy with a Yamaha DX-7 ! (Easy to get an Amiga patch editor for, and I have played with 'em, a little bit!)
I just have not found ANY deals on synths here, that I can afford... Man, I hear stories of ppl. buying DX-72's for $40 !!! But never happens for me!
:(

I picked up a MicroKorg for $200 a while back, though I've never seen anything go for anywhere near $40 either. :/
-
I still have an ESQ-1, SDP-1, and an old Proteus 1XR.
As far as "real" synths just shop for a used JV-2080 or similar... they're getting cheaper all the time.

There are always some good options on eBay in the $150 range. If your budget is $40, then you'll have to get very lucky indeed.
