No amiga parts = NO killer system ;)

Do you think I could build a killer system
I think it is easier to kill things with my heavy-weight A2000 than the system you are building ;)
greets,
Staf.

killer system, nope ... a good system? yes indeed! :-)

Only problem I see, is that every component I have ever bought branded with that name has gone up in smoke! (specially the video cards!)
-
You need three more graphics cards - the motherboard you have can take 3-way SLI.
If you just build two systems and have a mobo and processor left over, I know a good home for them :-) (dying to play F1 2011, but don't have a system for it to run on, or a console).
Also, you won't build a killer system with what you have pictured. You need cases, RAM, PSU etc etc :-)
Interested to know what you do if you get to use the latest tech for projects.

I've got 3 evga 295's in this PC and have had nothing but luck with them.
As for a killer system? Does it run Crysis?

We have had pretty good luck with these so far. Two graphics cards per system :). These are for a long running work project(no personal use) I did not spec the components :(. If I did the systems would be killer! Although they do have i7 processors 3.06ghz I know not that fast ;)
just thought I would share techie geeks stuff here. Oh out of curiosity what Amiga OS could I run on these..

ha.. I just realized I typed mhz.. ha..

I'll say, 3.06MHz is only about 3x faster than a C64.

Oh the cases are Uber custom and pretty sleek. This year I have built 12 out of 15 so far. The power supply is a 1200watt TurboCool from PC Power&Cooling($500). We only use 6gigs of ram for our setup. I have pushed for more but certain people here don't listen to reason. You know.. "if it's not their idea it's not a good idea".

Those X58 FTW3's are a nice board. And a 3.06ghz i7. That's the 950, right? It's kinda funny, we used the exact same components for five new CAD stations this year, only with a single nVidia Quadro FX instead of the 580s. The only part that sucks now, is it looks like the LGA 1366 socket is a dead end, thanks to Intel's latest socket shuffle.
LGA 1155 and 2011 are the future. We just tested a z68 FTW (LGA 1155) and that's a really nice board, too, but probably by the time we're doing the next batch of upgrades in a few months Intel will have redrawn the map again 5 times over... :D

Yep the 950. You guys upgrade more often than we do that is for sure. We use very custom enclosures, custom software, apart from OS and some Rockwell programs. Driving two 12" touch screens as well as two 30" Dell monitors. With what we are doing I think the graphics we use are under spec'd.

Nice components for sure. Hell I only have a Q6600 cpu and 4gigs of ddr2 ram lol.... But it is fine for what I do.. Which is really only a few games and web browsing.
Always been an AMD guy myself, but I do respect the speed of Intel.
But even after all that power, C64/Amiga seem superior... :)

There is something that seems just so efficient when it comes to the AmigaOS..I have never been a Windows person and actually when I do use it, I really don't like it. So can these components run CommodoreOS ??

Probably, but why would you want to?
