The Upstate New York Amiga Users Group will be meeting on January 14th at the Mill Creek Clubhouse, in East Greenbush, N.Y., just across the Hudson River from the state capital of Albany, from 10am till whenever the meeting breaks up. The meeting is open to the public and we invite Amiga, MorphOS and AROS users to come and join us. If you would like to present a demo, please let me know, and I will be happy to help coordinate it for the meeting.
The meeting will also be B.Y.O.B., Bring Your Own Beverage. So if you would like to bring a six pack of your favorite, feel free. We will have access to a small kitchen in the clubhouse which has a fridge and microwave if you would like to bring a lunch instead of ordering out.
Anyone coming in from out of town needing help finding a hotel near the meeting, can contact me if they need a little more info about the area. And as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Updates for the meeting, when they are released, can be found on our new webpage at http://amigaz.org/unyaug
See ya at the meeting!

ARG!!! If only I still lived in Maryland! Have a blast you all!
-
I'll do my best to get some stuff up ASAP.

I wish I could make it there, but it is about 3,000 miles away and I doubt I would be able to afford such a trip so soon after Christmas. If you had scheduled it in March, or April, I might have been able to attend.
Have fun and I hope you have many users show up to enjoy it.

The plan is to have a meeting every quarter. So maybe the next one we could see you here.

I'm an ex-Amiga user who has never seem any NG Amgas, FPGAs, etc.
What kind of things could I expect to see at this meeting?

Well - knowing many who will be there - you should easily have the ability to check out AROS, Morphos, and OS4 on several different pieces of hardware.
There will be a presentation on AROS (I am pretty sure) and I will do my best showing folks around on Morphos. There will be front projectors for the demos as well.

Cool. I'm in MA so it sounds like it might be fun to attend.

I'd really like to see a mini-mig, so if anyone coming has one, please bring it, I'd really love to see one before deciding to buy one or not...

Great, something close enough to get to. Maybe I can break away that week end.
