Title: T - Zero (T0)
Post by: Blizzard on November 05, 2011, 09:20:07 AM
Wow! Thats all i can say!
After playing this I know my first post here has to be to spread word about this game in case anyone else missed it (just like i did!)
Even playing this for the first time the other day, This game looks and sounds great, Unlike a lot of the other later AGA CD ROM releases which were not that great to begin with and have only got worse with age..
Has the great polished look found in Capital Punishment, Its a shame there were not more developers pushing the classic hardware at the end of its commercial life like Clickboom were.
Still early on in the game but this could overtake Project X as my fav amiga side scrolling shooter :)

yeah its a great game! thankfully the Amiga is quite blessed with a lot of great shooters in the same style. I really liked Disposable Hero too, for example.

I haven't played it but i just checked it out on Youtube and to be honest i'm not a fan of the soundtrack (not my taste i guess) and i felt the back drops were a bit bland and quite similar on each level.

I will have to play it first to be fair but this is just my opinion from watching the video.

It looks inferior to mid to late 80s Konami Arcade games so I found it quite disappointing personally. IIRC it needs 030 to run?

Wow nice game. Never played it but it looks funny.

From minute 17 the music gets enjoyable...

the first tune is a bit too fast for this games (audio/video isn't harmonic)

Not a bad game, but I do recall being a bit disappointed with it. No better (and in fact probably worse) than some of the a500 floppy disc based shooters. Z-Out, ProjectX, Disposable Heroes and some others not only look as good, but play better.

It's not that T-Zero is bad at all, just that I was expecting more from a cdrom based aga game that requires extra ram.
One of the slicker late Amiga games at least (the youtube vids really dont do it justice).
