Title: Think i damaged an A500 motherboard
Post by: dougal on November 03, 2011, 10:56:56 AM
I stuck the 512kb ram expansion the wrong way. Now when i try and switch it on i get a yellow screen. If i insert a ram expansion i get a green screen.

Yellow was a chip RAM error I believe... maybe you fried the expansion board? Does it run without the board?

Yes, YELLOW is without the expansion and Green with an expansion fitted.

Green is a chip RAM error.

I stand corrected indeed, Green is messed up chip RAM or a b0rked Agnus...

Yellow is the error my A3000D was giving me with incorrect clocking jumpers.

Faulty Paula... Its fix now :) As soon as i replaced the PAULA it came up with that lovely Kickstart 1.2 screen. I'm playing midnight resistance right now
