Title: To use a LCD monitor without scandoubler...
Post by: elektro_fabius on January 06, 2004, 12:50:44 PM
I have an a1200 without scandoubler/flicker and i would like to use it with a standard LCD monitor.
I've tried to put in the DEVS/Monitors folder the driver "vgaonly" and "dbpal" but I can't see the WB screen on my monitor... :-(

Some  years ago with my first a1200,I've tried to do the same thing but with a standard monitor (not LCD) and I could see the WB...naturally I have the VGA Adapter.

Someone knows what I have to do?
Tnx!

Use DblNTSC instead of DblPAL. Most TFT monitors start to syncronise at 60Hz and PAL is at 50Hz.

And of course you need to choose a DblNTSC screen mode from the Screenmode prefs. Just copying the monitor file does not change anything.

Bye,
Thomas

Ciao Fabio. Ricordati che alcuni lcd non agganciano bene  basse risoluzioni.

Ciao Fabio,

con Multiscan+VGAOnly, you can have

31.44 kHz Horizz.

60 Hz Vertical

Take a look HERE (http://www.ntrautanen.fi/computers/commodore/amiga_graph.htm) at the bottom of the page.

Ciao
