Just wanted to let everyone know that we've assembled a matrix of Radeon model information and made it available at:
http://www.forefronttechnologiesinc.com/Radeon/ (http://www.forefronttechnologiesinc.com/Radeon/)
Many people have asked for this type of compiled information, hopefully some of you will find it useful!

Looks nice and usefull.. on some chip types there are opinion for different type/width of rams .. so it's a bit complicated to compare bards to each other..
-
Ah! Useful, thank you :-) I've been trying to decipher the numbering scheme of the Radeon range for a while now...
-
Very usefull great for comparing difrent types of cards.
-
Joshua, there's a typo error:
"the the" at the bottom of the page :-)
-
I don't see the 8500DV.....
-
Man, that's one inbred family of graphics cards, huh? No wonder why I couldn't make sense of it before.
At least I know where to turn when someone asks me if a Radeon XXXX for $80 is a good deal or not. ;-)
Thanks!

rustler: problem is that each manufacturer adds some speials on those cards.. There are many opinions (like dualhead, DVI output, video output, Video input, TV tuner etc) that are not available on all cards. And besides .. same gfx chip can usually be configured to different amoun, speed and type of Display memory...
And then.. making it even more fun.. different manufacturers (sellers) tend to name those additions differently.. So ofthen it's not only Gfx chip that differs..
