I have someone interested in one of my Amiga's. I'm just recently rejoining the Amiga world after about 5 years away, and I don't know what a fair price would be. Here are the specs. What do you think I should ask for it?
Amiga 2000; Rev 6.2 motherboard, Phase 5 Blizzard 2040-40 with 128 megs of ram, KS 3.1, SCSI HD (Fujitsu 540 meg), Picasso II graphics card, CD-Rom, and 2 floppy drives one of which is an Amtrade High Density unit. Confirmed no battery damage, I relocated it years ago off of the motherboard. System is solid and working well.
Thanks,
Jeff :-?

Thats really hard to say ...
The best thing you can do is check out ebay and sites where alot of used computers are beeing sold and check for comparison ...
I know that the emotional falue is higher then what you will get for it in the end though ...
Good luck

Yes it is a hard one to answer. Since you have someone wanting the complete unit I would give him a fair price. The Picasso card will sell for no less the $50 alone, the Accelerator for maybe $75 ect. I would think for a nice working system asking him $300 is fair for that Amiga. Its a nice setup.

i would say, try to get some bids or whatever via Amibench , but then again i would have kept this system..
cheers

If you etch "Professional" into the case with a compass, I think there might be someone you could sell it to :-)

Personaly I think somewhere in the region 200-250$ would be a resonable offer. I know selling the items seperat could get you more but is that realy what it's come down to? Stripping perfectly fine and working units to bring in the most $? To me that is killing the Amiga spirit of helping eachother out.

I was waiting for a comment that pointed at 'that direction' ... hehe :-D

I really am surprised at the pair of you!
It is quite apparent - in spite of your indignant comments on those 'other' threads - that you actually enjoy the banter you say you decry. So much so, you have (by inference) reintroduced this 'banned' individual into this thread!
I'm sure the original poster has no interest in anything 'professional/military' (and who goes with it) when he asked his perfectly valid question. So yet another Aorg thread goes off at a tangent!
As I pointed out elsewhere, you have created a celebrity and must accept everything that goes with that.
Cheers,
JaX

You are over reacting ... and as far as going off at a tangent, you might be right .. so If you have anything to ad to this, feel free to mail me at kees@amiga.org instead of posting it in this thread.
