Hi everyone. I've been inspired by the Amiga user groups in Melbourne and the new Amiga & Friends club in Spain, and I think it's about time we had an Amiga club around here. I know there are a few Amiga users around Northern NSW and a few in Southern QLD, so how about we all start a club? We could start having meetings at our place until we find somewhere bigger or more suitable I guess. There's one place I have had in mind for a while, the Point Danger Scouts hall in Coolangatta. But there should be enough room here for now, we'll clear off a few desks and tables for people to bring along their Amigas and set them up on if they'd like, plus we have plenty set up here already.
We can work out the details as we go along. So, is anyone interested?

I'm in... I could post this on a couple of other forums if you like? There are a couple of amiga owners that I know of in the region. If you'd prefer to keep it here that's cool :)

Sure, that would be great thanks! The more people who want to come along, the better. :)

I'll be there too, of course.

I'm a little bit too far away (down here in Adelaide). But were planning a trip to QLD soon so I wouldn't mind co-ordinating that around a club meet to catch up with some fellow Amigans. We'll see how we go....count me in as a remote member :)

So does this look like it will go ahead? I've had a couple of people show they were interested on some other forums but I think only one of those actually owns an Amiga :P
By the way, I've got a few soldering jobs I need to do, if you guys were still thinking of doing the timing fix to your 1200s you're welcome to come along, I can give you a few pointers, and I have an old pc motherboard you can practice on :)
