I'm in the process of removing the CPU socket from my board.
Where can I order a quality replacement socket and CPU?
-
I don't know about 68000 sockets, but I found a perfect 68060 socket on Ebay a few months ago.

Oh ya, Ebay... :)
Resolved, thankx, now I just hope this used CPU I'm ordering will work. :)

Yep, that can be a gamble. Why didn't you just try to locate an accelerator?

Because I need a 68000 for the machine to work in the first place. At least that was my logic.
Need a new car first anyhow, then a pair of these:

And then back to Amiga upgrades (which I've already spent more than I should of upon). :)

The german A2000 actually needs the 68000 removing before you can use an accelerator. The B2000 might work without one as well.

We sell 68000 CPUs here: http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1058
No need to gamble on Ebay. Our CPUs are Quality Tested.

Should this one fail, I'll order from you.
Does it matter what model 68000 I use?
