I have a A4000 motherboard with the orig. battery still attached. No worries I will be removing it shortly. While the battery hasn't leaked all that bad, there is however some
leakage. My question is what is a good product to use to clean this stuff off the MB?
Thanks

Rich:
I've always used a little baking soda to neutralize the acid after cleaning with circuit board cleaner. Follow up with a second cleaning after the baking soda. Denatured alcohol would work as well, but don't skip the baking soda. After it's cleaned I usually cover the effected areas with nail polish.

Another answer with wrong info - as the electrolyte is base you need acidic cleaner. Lemon juice or diluted vinegar. Flush away with water and then possibly alcohol. Let dry thoroughly and nail polish is OK.

I used vinegar to clean it, but it left some exposed traces. I guess cover them with nail varnish?
But yes, vinegar is what to use.
