Hello my Amiga friends.
If you want, you can write which Amiga game the best for you :)
-
Just one?
Hired guns, amazing music, original gameplay, 4 players...and hard as nails
-
Speedball 2 !!! The best sport game ever! (take that, SWOS...)
-
One of the most original threads of amiga history, imho.

@ Cool_amigaN: does it matter?

Hello my Amiga friends.
If you want, you can write which Amiga game the best for you :)
That's a VERY difficult question, but I'll do my best. ;) If I must choose only one game, then it must be....... Banshee AGA!
Excellent multiplayer mode, very difficult, lot's of action and nice graphics. Best shoot'em up on the Amiga in my opinion.
-
Total Chaos AGA is about the only one I still play. It's really that replayable. (Take that Dune 2.)
-
Banshee and Speedball 2 are both very worthy. The Alien Breed series, the Turrican games, all good stuff.
I still enjoy the original Warlords as well as the Battle Isle games. Great multiplayer
-
I never EVER bore of Pinball Fantasies, especially the circus table!
-
Slam tilt, cannon fodder, supercars 2
XCOM too but thats the best game ever made for any platform.
-
I still do Total Chaos AGA.

Chaos Engine, completed so many times I lost count (at least 30). I'm a Banshee fan too... ..and Xenon 2 ... ..and Apidya... ..and Ruff 'n ' Tumble .... Guess I just love seeing stuff go BOOM!

It just so happens that my joystick just broke. Can someone suggest some good mouse driven games while I wait for my new joystick to arrive?
I never played many mouse games back in the day. Now is a good time to check some out.

Cannon fodder, Beneath a steel sky and Monkey island for starters.

Hello my Amiga friends.
If you want, you can write which Amiga game the best for you :)
Gods, Shadow of the Beast, Killing Gameshow, Sword of Sodan are examples of games I had that never even came close to beating but had great gfx/sound.
Golden Axe and Robocod I played most way through.
Gauntlet and Garrison(a clone) were cool for 2 player.
Just got a Epyx 500XJ Joystick by KONIX which was the joystick I had for my A500 in the 80s.
I thought it would make me better, but I'm still not any good at many of those games... I thought it was the Comp Pro.

There are so many brilliant games for the Amiga to choose, from;
Early games - (ECS) F18 Interceptor, Elite, Final Assault, Joe Blade, Falcon, Stunt Car Racer, Space Ace, Menace (to name a few).
Mid Games - Formula 1, Frontier, Swiv, Gods, Chaos Engine, Mig 29m
Later Games- (AGA) Gloom, Pinball Fantasies, Pinball Illusions, Slam Tilt, Subwar 2050, Watch Tower, Brian the Lion
This is just a few of the games that I played through the years, think I went through a 10 year time warp with my various Amiga's, because time flew by playing games and trying to create demo's with my sound sampler & Rombo Vidi Amiga.
:):) The joy of maturity :):)

I've got a 4gb partition on my CF for whdload games. I know that I can fit a ton of games on there, but I'm trying to figure out my perfect setup and get everything installed so that I can make a backup in case the CF card dies or something horrible happens :P However, I'm having trouble narrowing it down. I've found a top 100 list but it's so subjective...not a lot of reviews/screenshots.
I will say that my favorite types of games are those that can be played on SCUMMVM to include the Sierra games :) Love those point and click/arrow key and type in a CLI type games, they're so much fun.

Syndicate, Lemmings, Populous 1 & 2, Star Wars. It's been so long I'm sure there are other really good ones.
-
Hybris.
-
Okey!!! Total Chaos AGA v6 is a favourite.
But I do LOVE zAngband...
-
Hired Guns hands down. 4 player co-op, amazing atmosphere, well-thought world and ultimate playability. Can't even imagine how much testing the maker did to make it that perfect...

Well... I would go for TotalChaos-AGA! :)
It one of the most continued, up-2-date strategy-games, it's multiplayer and it uses a mouse (even 3-buttons if you have it).
It's also my vote for this poll... (Take that Chaos and all related clones)

I recently started playing the Mercenary trilogy (Danmocles...). I thought the old vector textureless 3D will be ugly, but it actually looks quite good and it's incredible how realistic looking worlds were they able to create with just vectors (and with a bit of imagination on your side :) ). Haven't played it much yet, but it really has some charm. It's quite different than the usual Amiga 2D affairs plus it's fast unlike most old 3D games.
-
TotalChaosAGA have been played alot lately. It's hard to pick out an absolute favorite. its a changing cluster of favorites.
-
What the hell? No one have said Turrican II? The one game to rule them all
-
Actually Turrican trilogy has been mentioned by runequester :)

I have to agree, the 3d vector world, with the speed of it's vector graphics, (as in tankzone the arcade version - off the the thread) was and is one of the best vector 3d games i've played on an Amiga. Not only that, but the plot in Damocles is quite gripping, and sucked me right into this world(s)... it's just a shame that i've not seen this game revised for today's hardware - although it has been ported. It has to be one of my faves.
