Title: A1200 Sound Problem
Post by: on December 17, 2002, 07:13:10 PM
Just bought a Second hand A1200 but it's sound is very low.
If I play a game I have to turn the speakers full up and even then I can just make out sound if I put my ear to the skeakers. The speakers work ok with other systems so any ideas to what the problem is and how I can fix it.
Regards

I had a psu with the a1200 that wasn`t giving the proper power due to a break in the plug at the comp side, it was the power to the audio that wasn`t getting through.

can you try another psu from a friend?

er ....

Your A1200's audio output is only pre amped .. you need an amplifier to .... "Amplify" it !!

aah, only speakers? I was assuming you were using those powered pc type amplified speakers.

If so then speakers like this will work, though you might have to get an adapter to make the pc soundcard jack <---> amiga RCA connection.

Sorry I should have said that the speakers are amplified. I have two sets and none of them work with the Amiga but both work with the Pc. Thanks for the help anyway.
