Hi guys,
I have Aweb and iBrowse on my a4000. Both work well, iBrowse works quite a bit better...but I can't register it  and the 30 minute demo sucks! What are other alternatives? Is there a way to register iBrowse? I'm not a huge fan of Aweb...

there is no way to register ibrowse now sorry ...ppl behind ibrowse have gone underground

Have a look at the latest version of netsurf. If you have a fast a4000 with a rtg and a decent amount of ram it works reasonably well. I run it on my a4000 with 060 and Cybervision rtg.
Weed.

You can get a licenced OEM version of IBrowse with no timeout when you buy OS4.1 I think, other than that there's no way to register it and probably never will be.

I have an A4000D, Mediator, Radeon 9250 (using the memory as ram) and a Network card, and whenever I launch Netsurf under RTG screen modes, I get the dreaded ramlib 80000004 error.
Any hints on how to fix this? iBrowse and Aweb seem to work okay most of the time in 1024x768, but higher resolutions (like 1920x1080) crash with the same error.

I use netsurf with 1920x1080 too without problems.
Do you have ixemul 63.1 ?
-
I think Netsurf requires a 16 bit resolution?
Another alternative is OWB, but it requires P96 (or p96emu) and ixemul/ixnet 48.2. At least that used to be the case.
Ofcourse there is Voyager, too.. :)
-
Well, I guess you could always use Voyager...but I'm curious why you don't like AWeb...

That's what I heard as well but there will be a solution to this with the Indivision AGA Mrk2 (high/true color chunky modes!) which should be released in the next couple of weeks.....sorry months.
I would have a look at doing an AGA version of this myself but I've got such limited time for 68k coding so I think my efforts are better spent elsewhere.

Yeah. Like MIDI support for ScummVM AGA :) So I can use my Roland MT32...
J/K :)
-
Well if I ever get one myself then I'm sure to add MIDI HW support :)
What I really want is a 1260 though, then I can do it in software (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj86U8us4G0) (the lazy option).

I'll see if I can find one(a MT32, not a 1260) I got mine for $35 but they are really expensive on ebay...
MT32 totally beats Paula sound but that's a little apple to oranges.

My a4k has a voodoo3 and cv64/3d so I'll be fine either way! :)

Somebody should give native GUI for Netsurf
Chris has made Os4 version so that keeping mind that somebody might want to make 68k version of it.
Bernd/Artur can probably provide ready-compiled versions of the dependencies.
