Hi
What is your favourit salvage program of AmiBack Tools, Quarterback Tools and DiskSalv and why? Pro's and Con's of the differnt tools and how do their salvage capabilities/toolkit compare to one another?

DiskSalv I used very much with my 500, easy and fast.

How do you do that? I can't seem to get DiskSalv to work without KS3.x :(
-
The earlier versions do work - it was probably 1.42 or something like I used on my 1.3 A500.

ABTools seemed to work best back when I still used FFS for anything.
Can't remember the specific pros and cons, IIRC QBTools gave up sometimes when ABTools managed to fix the FS.

Do you (anyone) know how to get hold of old/early Disksalv versions?
Nevermind.. found it aminet thanks to fredfish :D

I loved QBTools, simply because I could work on files at a block level, and it would tell you what each word of data was for. Great for resolving crosslinked files where the system itself wouldn't know which file segments were correct...

Anyone who can tell me how Disksalv1.42 compare to QBTools?
