Title: Person with hot air rework help
Post by: dreamcast270mhz on September 01, 2011, 11:09:45 PM
Can someone on the east coast with a hot air rework station repair a card I have here? It is a Vxl30 and it needs a new leg on the bottom side soldered in.

I am located in virginia and can send a picture of the leg.

That job doesn't require a hot air rework station, a $10 Radio Shack soldering iron would suffice.

I'd do it myself, but I have a good deal of money in this and dont want to risk messing it up.

I'll post a picture after work today of it.

Try Washington D.C. They have plenty of hot air.
