Title: FS: A4000 in need of some TLC
Post by: desantii on August 31, 2011, 03:39:37 PM
First the good:
- Machine boots and works fine via workbench in CF card(included)
- Buster 11
- Kickstart 3.1

the bad:
only 12mb of ram are recognized (ram is held in with glue)
3640 seems to be missing some caps (but works just fine)

$260 + shipping

Got a lot of PMs on the other motherboards I had, so to avoid confusion this item is still available

If you take a DNA sample of it then you'll find out that it isn't glue.  ;)

HOLY , what is it with Araldite in the ram sockets these days.

That is such a shame (I Hope the ram does not fail, which is probably why only 12MB shows).

Interested if shipping cost to PL don't kill me. ;-)
Is keyboard included?

PM on way.

"I saw an Amiga and I Jizzed in my pants..." and on the motherboard...

If I didn't already have a second A4000 on the way from DiscreetFX (when the hell is that getting here?  Need to play with my Toaster!) then I'd be interested.

Does it have a keyboard and mouse? Would you consider a swap for an accelerated A2000? If so I'm interested. PM sent.

Interest withdrawn. Replacing SIMM sockets is no problem but I was looking for a more complete A4000, my A2000 also needed some TLC, and a trade is more complicated, etc. It's my fault for not paying more attention to details so blame me. Desantii is good guy it's not fair for me to delay his sale any further.
