Title: FS: MiniMig ITX - V2 -- Boxed
Post by: espskog on August 19, 2011, 10:20:33 AM
I am parting from my beloved and very special MiniMig board. It is the specially made ITX-V2 edition which has all connectors on one side an is therefore perfectly mounted in a nice beige MiniITX case.

The board is made by Illuwatar and works very well. Card reader is in the back, so the front has one button that opens the menu and you select game using your joystick or the keyboard (if you connect one). There is also a reset-switch in the back.

This board has a lot more built in than the stock minimig board you get. It has SVIDEO + Composite video out for very easy connection to a TV. It also has onboard logic that prevents damage to the board in case you connect the wrong power supply or switch the polarity by accident.

A Power supply is included, and so is a SD card.

Please look here in this thread for some pictures of the unit:

Please send me offers on PM if you are interested.

Regards
Espen

Nice.  Not too many of those around.

He doesn't seem too interested in selling.

I've pm'd twice and even sent a couple of emails all with no response.

If my offer was too low, I'd, at the very least, expect a negative response.  But nothing.

Oh well.

Hi Espen,

I'm really interested in the case you used in your solution, could you please help me find it somewhere to buy? Many thanks! Cheers!

It still looks good! :)

//EDIT

Well I've just found this: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Sales-Full-Aluminum-MINI-ITX-Chassis-Mini-PC-Case-A03-for-HTPC-mini-PC-thin/620802859.html
It looks mostly the same, however its rather white (dirty, but still white) than beige.

For those who are interested, espkog did finally respond and I bought it from him.

@kokos, any mini-ITX case will work.  I ended up using a acrylic case and re-mounting the switches and cutting a slot for the SD card.  Looks really nice.

Will post pictures later.

I think I missed this thread totally, so I will try to update it now :-) Better late than never -- right ? :)

SO the box was bought from eBay from a dude in china. The one in the picture is made of metal. It is in the nice amiga grey color :)

I do have another case like this, but in black color and in plastic. This is now housing my FPGA REPLAY board which is one of the first 10 boards which Mike pushed out about 2 years ago or so.

I bought the boxes from: SOLIVE at EBay. His store is here: http://myworld.ebay.com/solive98/&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

The product is called:

* Plastic Mini ITX VESA Mnt HTPC Car Computer Case(White) (130497925473)
* Plastic Mini ITX VESA Mnt HTPC Car Computer Case(Black) (130503844108)

Hope this helps :)

Hi Curtis,

Good to hear you still own the board and have had use of it. It sure is a cool board, and it is hand made and soldered component by component. A real gem.

Post pics of your mod --- love to see.

Espen

Seeing as it was a couple of years ago and I've slept at least once since then.

I've forgotten!

If I remember correctly, it wasn't exactly what you'd call cheap!  But well worth it.
