Amigakit has some refurbed PAL units which are perfect...

Unless you are into video production of course, I.E. SuperGen, ChromaKey, DCTV hardware etc.

My 1200 and 600 are Pal and have served me well.

Yeah!  I agree with XDelusion.  The only things you can't do with a PAL system is hook up to a TV set or composite monitor.  The video for those formats stink anyway, not to mention most Amiga games will run better on PAL with a monitor and scan doubler.

I just caught this thread as I am interested also.  What would I need to hook it up to a modern monitor with analog vga connection?  I assume a scan doubler but I did not see one on their site that was external.

Also I wonder what condition the case and keys will be in cosmetically....

@mbob

The Amiga 1200 (http://www.amigakit.us/product_info.php?products_id=305) we sell are very high quality with bright white new keyboards.

All our motherboards are carefully quality checked by the Technician and every system is thoroughly.

Thanks, any info on a scan doubler to use my monitor? What about a modern 27 or 32 inch flat panel tv that would hook right up. Being that I am in the US though I guess the PAL is a curve ball on that.

What I would like to do is hook up a 24" tv like in this video at 23:35 ish

Its a Samsung but I didn't catch the model.  He mentions the SCART cable from amigakit too.  Could I get something like this in the US?

Thanks for posting the pic. Do you carry any scan doublers for hooking up a LCD monitor?

Do all of your 1200s work with those new accelerators from Individual Computers?

Yes, they will not care if you are using PAL or NTSC

If you are responding to me, I'm not asking about video standard compatibility.

To be more precise:

The accelerator cards do not care if your Amiga 1200 is PAL or NTSC. The only thing I am aware of that has issues between regions and what not is video production equipment.

All our Amiga 1200 computers (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40_85&products_id=305) are now supplied with the timing fixes applied.

We dont yet have any scan doublers in stock,  probably in Q4 of this year, we should receive the new Indivision MK2

Great!  Do you now have PAL versions of refurbished 1200 motherboards with the timing fixes applied?  I've been sitting on a useless paperweight (ACA1230-28) since early spring.
