I prefer Virtualbox for most things...but I can't get Virtualbox and Icaros to play nicely together :(

I would have to agree.

I use virtualbox for my virtualisation needs. However I simply can't get it to play nicely with either AROS or ICAROS. Yet windows 3.1 works fine lol.

Here is a version 1.5 image for virtualbox you can update to the latest version from there.

Or here is an install guide. http://vmwaros.blogspot.com/2010/03/how-to-install-icaros-desktop-on.html

Some old versions of VBox won't boot AROS because of bugs in VBox. If you're having trouble, make sure you have the latest version of VBox installed.

VBox on a Mac is pretty rubbish, to many issues :(

On Linux: I prefer VMWare (free)
Mac: VMWare Fusion (pay)
Windows: VBox or VMWare, both are good

I only tried the old Parallel 2.x on Mac with not so good result - can't speak for later versions.
