Sounds like Doom3 will be open-sourced later this year. Do we have enough stuff for a port to be workable? Perhaps when Gallium is out?

Bitchin'. Be fun to see what happens with this...though I expect Quake and Quake III will remain the most actively updated of the open-sourced iD Tech engines for a good while.

Great news! While I was not a major fan of DOOM III, I still enjoyed it, plus there are a few good MODs for it as well! Hopefully this gets ported to everything! ;)

Not much of a programmer (YET!) but I did like the atmosphere of Doom 3.  If someone made an Alien Breed 3D-ish game with this engine I'd want it hands down!
