I have a A1000 MB I'm playing with from time to time. I soldered sockets and jumpers to where the unused ROM spots are on the A1000. I was wondering if I could somehow burn some ROMs to put in these sockets? And could I go as far as 3.1 ?
I think these were only meant for 256K ROMs and not a 512K like 3.1 is. I was considering trying this route instead of making a "Ratte ROM adapter".
Has anyone done sucha thing?

There was a thread about this before (google is your friend). I think the results were incomplete. Id really love to do this myself... if it can be figured out, it would only be for a 256kb kickstart (4x 27c512 eproms)

there was a file on aminet, the name escapes me,but it suggested that was possible. i have never seen anyone prove it can be done however.

Yes, I found a good thread here:
Seems like Ratte crunched the rom images and stuck them into apropriate eprom chips and somehow got it to work....

EDIT, naw that's not it ... just floppy hackery...
