Title: SOFTWARE FOR X-SURF
Post by: DGB on December 30, 2003, 07:47:58 PM
Hi All,
I have a new X-SURF network card for my A-2000.  I started to install it but the installer software informed me that I need a TCP/IP stack such as Genesis Netconnect or Miami installed first.  My question is where do I get that?  It also said that Genesis was preferred.  Also can anyony reccomend a good browser for the 2000 and where to get that?

Dave

Buy OS3.9. It has a stack (Genesis) and Aweb SE. It's a cheap start at ~$40 USD.

you can also get AmiTCP (http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/comm/tcp/AmiTCP-bin-22.lha) which is harder to configure than miami or genesis, but works fine, too.
(if you know the *nix structure of the tcp stack it should be no problem)

I have 3.9 installed and running.  Is there something I have to activate?

Activate Genesis Wizard and see how that goes,  you may need info from your ISP.

Genesis isn't installed by default, so you may need to install it from the 3.9 CD.
