I have to admit that my favourite 2D paint package is Personal Paint (Cloanto) and I use this very often.
The quality and ease of use is second to none.
Use this instead of DPaint if you must. :-P

hm.. although it has more features (the best beeing rtg support imho) I never liked the tool bar on the left side of the screen in ppaint after having used dpaint for several years. In my opinion the best 2d gfx program on amiga is tvpaint.

for anyone who might be interested in this :
you can download ppaint here (http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/biz/cloan/PPaint.lha).

It seems that Cloanto are going to support the AmigaOne/OS4 system and release a native version of PPaint.
:-D

IIRC (and I could be wrong), there is an option to put the toolbar on the other side.

And, one should not Forget MorphOS... but sadly no AROS version :-(
But then AROS does have a DPaint Clone :-)
