Hello,
I recently bought a new Floppy Drive from Vesalia.de for my A600 and it has a rather strange issue.
The drive works perfectly. It reads many floppy's my old drive would not read at all.
However, the Amiga's floppy drive LED is lit permanently - even when the drive is not in use.
Normally this only happens when you put the cable in wrong side around, but then the drive just won't work so that can't be it.
I'm a bit stumped, can this do harm and is there a way to fix it?

Did you contact Vesalia.de and tell them of the issue ? They may have experience of it before.
Additionally I guess the Amiga floppy light is controlled one of the CIAs(Not sure if there are 2 in an A600). That could be dodgy, I supose the only way to test is to put the floppy into another machine. If u have one.

Thanks for the answer!
I'll try mailing them as well, I just figured it may have been a standard problem ;)
I'll also try the floppy in a different machine.
Still strange that it works except for the led though!
