goto http://www.elbox.com and check card compatibility list. to my knowledge the joyport isn't used.not just any cards work.

No, there is no driver for the gameport on soundcards used with mediator. Even if there was there are no games which support PC joysticks. Amiga games all read from the joystick port hardware registers directly.

You can use an adapter to plug a 15-pin joystick into the Amiga side.

Well I guess, that in theory it should be possible to write some sort of a lowleve.library that uses that port instead of the amiga port. But its only a guess and I have no clue how or if it is possible at all.

It is possible to use gameport joysticks/pads on amiga, but if memory serves me correctly you need to use newlowlevel.lib as opposed to "normal" lowlevel.lib. Additionally I think it can only be used with openpci sb driver. Once its set up though it should work fine with anything that typically can use lowlevel.lib.
Sorry for the vagueness of the response, its been a while and my memory is a little foggy :)

@fishy_fiz
That's pretty close to what my foggy memory recalls too ;)...
