Title: Micromys V3, PS/2 Mouse Adapter for Commodore 64, Amiga and Atari ST

Micromys V3

Originally designed for the Commodore 64 only, the new Micromys V3 mouse interface also supports the Amiga and Atari ST platforms, and a lot of functionality has been added during the development. High compatibility with PS/2 mice remains, and USB-mice that support the PS/2 protocol are automatically switched to that mode. The new adapter can be configured for different target systems by DIP switches:
Micromys V3 can of course be used on other retro-systems that use a 9-pin Sub-D connector for game controllers, such as Atari 8-bit machines, Schneider, Amstrad, and MSX.

In order to deal with space constraints on every desk, the Micromys V3 comes with a long cable. This design allows installation on every narrow desk, even when a bulky USB-PS/2 adapter is being used.

EUR 29.90 incl. 19% German VAT (EUR 25.13 excl. VAT for non-EU customers)

I've had one of these for about two years now and it works fine with my Amiga, but not at all on my Atari 8-bit, and C64.

I don't think so...
Roland samplers (just acquired an S-330 recently) need MSX compliant mouse (there is a  DIY project for this).

Nice if they add this feature too: would enalrge their "market" significantly.

I've used one of these on my A4000 for ages.  Great bit of kit and it is nice to be able to use any old PS2 mouse from any old shop.

It works great with my equipment. In fact it works better than Coccolino with my KVM.

I got one and use it on my C64 or Amiga. It works great. But I don't understand why this is new?
I read the article, maybe it should have said something like NEW IN THIS VERSION:

?

Bad: Well, it's kinda klunky and looks like a home made detonator switch for Dr. Evil. Just don't go to the airport with it...

I have one of these, they work good though modern mice with high DPI tend to overwhelm it (or the C64 a) if you move it to fast (the pointer sort of loops back on itself).

Another issue is that without modification of the 9pin connector it will not fit the A600 or the flat C128, those screw in things get in the way of the computer case ... I need to find an extension cable that doesn;t have the screw things.

I've been using the Micromys adapter for a long time now. I'm very happy with it and can recommend it to others. Using an optical mouse on an Amiga is great. :)
