Title: Yes !
Post by: willbloke on June 29, 2011, 12:12:00 PM
I found my original Music-X discs , they are still readable and it installed on the A1200 and runs !!!  WOOOOOO !:afro:

I've found a schematic for a MIDI interface , now just need to build it and sort the keyboard .

Is the basic guts of the A500 keyboard ( obviously minus the logic) , the same as the A1200 ?

If so I can swap the guts over .

Well chuffed :)

No, but IIRC, the A500 KB is similar to an A2000 KB, which can be connected to an A1200 via a couple of solder pads on the A1200 motherboard.

Good luck.

Some (late ?) A500s came with a "foil"-keyboard instead of a real PCB. This should be identical to the A1200s expect for the longer "cable" on the A1200s.

Remove the logic-board from the A500kbd, attach an A1200kbd to it and give it atry.
