emailed vesalia for more information. will update this thread if get reply. Emailed Amigakit to see if there stocking it too.
-
Vesalia invented that "release date" all by themselves. Means absolutely nothing.
-
oh well NatAmi followers can only dream
-
Yes, it is Vesalias estimate. Maybe we should call them for advice. Just kidding. :-)
-
Getting products on ASAP before release obviously allows the search engines to grab it early on - and just like this thread start generating inbound links with the speculation that ensues. All in all, it allows them to hit the ground running when the product is released.
-
this is the message got back from amiga kit "Hello
We hope to have more information shortly. Thanks"

reply today from vesalia.de
Hello,
Since many of you wrote re Natami and it would take a lot of time to
reply to every e-mail individually, we send this out as a mass posting.
We'll publish more information on our website shortly, please have a
little patience.
1. Scope of Delivery
The first boards will be shipped with an 060 CPU module (later
versions will not include that CPU module and hence come with
a lower price tag).
2. ETA
If everything goes according to schedule, the first NatAmi MX boards
will be shipped to customers in September. If major road blocks appear,
the date may be pushed a little bit farther, though.
3. Price
All we could currently provide would be a ballpark figure. The final
resale price will be calculated shortly prior to release.
Regards

Wow, I wasn't expecting to see these see the light of day for a few more years.....interesting news.
-
Now that's a bit of a surprise. Are these boards for testers, or a general release?
-
We're actually discussing this on the team-forum at the moment as I don't think anyone has given Vesalia these dates or information.
So, sorry, but don't get your hopes up by relying on information from shops.

Vesalia seem to do this sort of thing. I seem to remember they did it with the Indivision MK2 as well. If it was ok Amigakit's website then that would be a different matter as they only advertise products released or ones they have a secure date for.
Andy, what is your role on the team?
-
@RKM305
It was 3D stuff, but work and the 3DCore/Tami taking a backseat until it's actually released has meant I've just been doing bits on the demo games. Nothing much really... haunting forums etc :)
-
Right now he's the team Mascot :D

Judging from Thomas' comments on the Natami forum, there is a *chance* it coud be ready by September but they still jumped the gun in announcing that. Regardless, that does put it in the realm of THIS year. :)
