I have a decked out A3000 with CSMKII 060, and stock SCSI. I have a 1GB Seagate HD and 4.3GB Quantum SCSI HDs inside. I just got the IBM drive and installed it in my external SCSI case with my NEC SCSI CD-ROM. It seems to work ok but it locks up randomly when copying files. I am using Smart File System 1.13 as FFS keeps getting corrupt! Oh and yes all termination is set. I am using a external HD terminator on the external box. Any ideas on a fix?

So you just added another scsi harddrive to your chain and the transfers get corrupt ?? Strange. I do remember having had the same problem with my ex A500+ with 68020i turboboard. On the back of the manual was written that I had to decrease the MaxTransfer in HDtoolbox. Maybe your harddrive is too fast and its speed needs to be decreased a bit ... don't throw it away yet, it doesn't mean that there's something wrong with the hd ...
