Hi All,
About three weeks ago I woke my Amiga out of her fully boxed slumber to have a walk down memory lane and I found that in doing so, I hadn't had so much fun with a computer in a long time. I've got an A1200 with a Blizzard '030 and 68882 FPU @ 50MHz with a total of 10Mb of ram and a 170Mb HDD. Historically, I started with an A500, moved to a CDTV, then traded that in (due to faulty video) for an A1200. The A1200 had its motherboard replaced under warranty but since then it's been great. Rather geekily, I have all the receipts and warranty repair documents :)
I ended up having to do some surgery on the Blizzard board as the battery was not holding enough charge to run the RTC so I replaced it and now I'm good to go. The RF modulator appears to be broken (the little screw is loose and just spins) so I'm using a SCART cable that I've wired up (I ended up buying 23-pin plugs from the US) giving better quality anyway so I'm not too fussed about the modulator and I guess I'll get around to fixing it at some point.
BITD, I developed a few different applications, the most successful of which was AGASSM which was reviewed in Amiga Shopper (iss. 62 or 63) in their Licenceware section and was awarded 95% with a Star Buy so I must've done something right :). The restricted version is on Aminet I believe.
I still have all the source code but it seems Blitz Basic is in a bad way as although it compiles code, some applications including AGASSM simply fail to run so I'm planning on re-installing BB2 and trying it all again. I suspect BlitzLibs is broken... The aim it to superceed the publically available version with one that does not require registration. That way, it may be of some use to some people rather than just another example of a restricted Licenceware app.

AGASSM - AGA Slide Show Maker :)
It allows you to create slide shows (including multi disk ones) that include MED and ST modules, sound samples and IFF images, have a continually available backdrop between images loading, it has an ARexx interface and can run ARexx scripts as part of the slide show so if you wanted to control ClariSSA or other effects system to produce custom stuff you could. You could even create your own ARexx scripts that would be dynamically imported into the AGASSM WB menu to effectively write macros to control aspects of AGASSM. In fact, AGASSM refuses to run if it cannot detect ARexx running in the background as it's so integral to the application.
The image display routines can do a few different things like random squares, horiz/vert, bars/scrolling and other stuff, too much to list in one post.
It does all that in a Workbench 2.0+ friendly way :) Although getting it working on WB2 was an issue for a while but it turned out to be a simple matter of getting the right versions of the right libraries in the right places :)
Finally, it also came with its own "small disk and memory footprint" player so you could distribute the slide shows you created freely.
