So I've been lurking around here a few months, and more recently posted a few times, but never introduced myself, so here goes.
Back around 1990, I bought my first Amiga, it was a used Amiga 500, and it served me with several upgrades through the mid-1990's including the monstrosity that was the Bodega Bay. By the mid 90s I had stopped using the Amiga 500 all together in favor of the open-source *BSDs.
Other than toying with emulators a few times, and occasional ebay searches for 'video toaster' I hadn't much thought of my Amiga for the better part of 15 years. That is until a few months ago. A bout that time I stumped on the HxC floppy emulator, as I hate to loose data, and have a large floppy collection, this device appealed to me. So I ordered one, and went on to power up my two working A500's that I found in the basement. After a bit of playing, I jumped the gun and purchased an A2000 with an 030 board.
So after 15 years, this is my setup.
1) Amiga 2000 rev 6.2
- GVP Combo 030 w/ 8mb
- GVP HD+8 (w/ 8mb)
- ASDG Dual Serial Card
- Video Toaster
- Indivision ECS
- ECS Agnus & Denise
- Kickstart 3.1
2) A500 Rev 6
- ICD adRam 540 w/2mb
- Indivision ECS
- ECS Agnus & Denise
- Kickstart 2.04
3) A500 Rev 5 (or so I recall
- A501
- Kickstart 1.3
Also gobs of unused miscellanea that will be sorted, filtered over the coming months.

Welcome back ;-)
Did you already smash the piggy bank and count your savings? There is still a lot of fancy Amiga hardware and other stuff going around...

Hah! The piggy bank is intact for the moment. The hardware is what got me re-interesed. I noted minimig a few years back, but managed to avoid getting to interested, can't say I've been as successful in ignoring fpgaarcade. I can't seem to get a handle on natami to decide where it fits into everything exactly, and therefor I can't really determine if I have interest.
I've recently been offered an chance on an A1200 (with an 030 accel), but I don't know what fair market value is to make an offer. Nor do I know what to expect from an AGA machine as a user having never owned one. Nor do I know if buying such a machine makes sense with fpgaarcade on the seemingly relatively near horizon. Any thoughts from the community might be appreciated.

Welcome fordp!
Nice A2000! In terms of the A1200 it depends what it is you want to do with a Classic Amiga. An A1200 with 030 would make a VERY nice gaming machine, get a Compact Flash 4GB hard drive and full it full of WHDLoad games and enjoy. If that's your poison anyway......other can advice you in other uses, I don't do much on my Amiga's anymore, at the moment, than play games.
