Title: Next SCCAN meeting - Sunday, June 5
Post by: RobertB on May 29, 2011, 08:50:43 AM
Hello, all Commodore and Amiga fans,

The Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network (SCCAN) has its next meeting on Sunday, June 5, from 2 p.m. to 4+ p.m..  To find out the exact location of the meeting, just send me an e-mail.

Thanks to all who made the April SCCAN meeting a success.  At the last moment, we had to move our meeting to the Panera Bread Restaurant in Northridge, California.  At the four-hour meeting, SCCAN members Matt B. and Dan L. brought in the Minimig with the latest update and the MCC-216 VGA with C64 and Atari cores from ArcadeRetroGaming.com .  I brought the Comal 2.0 cartridge for the C64.

For the June meeting I'm bringing my Amiga 1200 '040 or the Amiga 1200 '060 or both.  On the Commodore side, I'll bring the Turbomaster CPU 4 MHz. cartridge.  Also I'll bring the EasyFlash C64 cartridge bought from Mike Betz of Antelope, California.  Don't forget to bring your Commodore and Amiga goodies to show off/demonstrate.

     Speaking for SCCAN,
     Robert Bernardo

Well, if the Fresno area is farther north for you, here's the Fresno Commodore User Group announcement --

Greetings, C= and Ami aficionados!

The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 1+ p.m., Saturday, June 4, at  --

The Pizza Pit Restaurant
2705 N. Blackstone Ave. (corner of Blackstone and Princeton)
Fresno, California

Note that we are meeting earlier in the month and this time on a Saturday.
This month we'll look at newly-released VIC-20 programs -- CardSwipe by Payton Byrd, Colour Test by Michael, and Minigrafik also by Michael.  On the Amiga side, we'll look at an A1200 newly-refurbished by Duncan M. of The Other Group of Amigoids (based in San Jose).  If Murphy's Law doesn't strike, we'll try to catch up on our backlog of C64 program presentations.  And of course, there will be more talk about the July 23-24 Commodore Vegas Expo.

Truly,
Robert Bernardo
