Title: HD-REC
Post by: Wilse on December 23, 2003, 10:42:23 PM
Hi folks,

Just downloaded HD-REC and tried to run it. I get an error message
asking for camd.library 37.14 (I think). I downloaded camd.library
from aminet and put it in LIBS: but still get the same message.
The readme says something about MOS requiring CAMD replacement
library. I can't find this on aminet.
Anyone else tried it on MOS yet?

Result - the replacement library can be had from the MDC.

Now I'm a happy happy chappy! :pint:

1) Under MOS you need definetly the camd
replacement. The one from Aminet does NOT
work under MOS.

2) You need IFF-ILBM and JPG Datatype.
Maybe JPG is missing ? If not, please
write me an email and I will send you
a debug version to find out what is wrong.
Or maybe you used the buggy unpacker from OS3.5
(or was it 3.9 ?), which changes some filenames.

Yeah - I got it to load last night, just before "Little Britain" started on TV, so didn't have a chance to test it other than load one of the demo tracks and hit play. I did notice that browsing the web with Voyager made it jump or skip or something but that was all.

I'll hopefully give it a proper workout next week.

I don't think I had the jpeg datatype installed... I'm away for 5 days now, so I shall test it again in the new year. Thanks.

Oh, and thank you for the Email about AROS ;-)

OK, just had a quick muck about.

First, every time I try to load a .wav file, it loads it, then when I
hit play, the whole machine hangs.

It won't load mp3 files.

No more time for testing tonight though - must go and get drunk!

Yes, this version of HD-Rec does definetly not
run under MOS. I did a bugfix already, tomorrow
I will add this to my HP for download.
Now I must go and get drunk as well ;-)
