Any one use / play with any of these Android 3.0 Honeycomb / Tegra type tablets? There seems to be a slew of them out there.

I just want to play Angry Birds on one of these.

Yep I bought the Acer Iconiatab A500 and so far I like it..   (I was waiting for a tablet that had a touchscreen as responsive as the Ipad's and this one is VERY close..  I still think the Ipad feels slightly better, but not enough to make a difference to me, unlike some of the predecessor Android tabs that absolutely sucked)

Honeycomb is interesting and while I do like it, it does seem a little haphazard to me...  The Ipad once again is verty straightforward and just makes sense from a usability/functionality standpoint...  Not really a complaint, just slightly different and once again I think the Ipad gets the nod...

Now for the deal breakers that made me buy the Acer over anything else out there...  As everyone knows Android is open standards so anybody can make apps including one of a kind stand alone apps that you load on your box YOURSELF.  (This was a major issue for me as you have to purchase a license to write any apps at all for Ipads and even if you are testing your one off apps you still have to go thru Itunes to get the thing on your own machine. And THAT costs $99 per year...  F*&# them...   The other deal breaker is that the Ipad can ONLY download content and has no provisions for removable storage at all...  (Once again F*&# them..  The Acer has a USB2.0 port built in the side and can recognize thumbdrives and external Hd's)   It also has a memory card slot as well..

For my money, these last 2 items pushed me away from the Apple and over to the Acer...

Does Honeycomb do something about storing programs somewhere other than main memory?  I have a Froyo tablet and am about to throw it out the window because of this stupid restriction.

Haven't had the thing long enough to be able to answer that one... I know that it does save apps in main memory, but I don't know if you can save them to mem cards or not...   I would hope so otherwise the memory card wouldn't be a whole lot of use really..  (But it wouldn't be the first time that a stupid decision was made now would it?)

LOL

Not is that I don't like the Acer computers, I have a bad experience with a computer and other hardwares of this company, with this name Acer and the low cost mark BenQ.
