Title: UAE for droid...
Post by: pyrre on May 16, 2011, 09:05:22 PM
Uncertain to which forum to post it in... :D

I just got an HTC desire and installed UAE for droid.
Fantastic app, and works right away.

However. does the "uae for droid" support hardfiles? there are only options for adding floppy images. And there are limited otions for CPU and memory configurations...

I don't think it does. Just .ADFs. And I could not get it to work with 3.1 ROMs. Just 1.3.

I realized that to.
But my 2.0 kick works as well...
I am starting to miss the option of a hardfile... :D

It sucks. There's no configurability at all, you can't change cpu, chipset or memory config or anything at all related to the emulation pretty much. That's just beyond stupid if you ask me.

Any other mobile UAE I've ever used (S60, Maemo) has had these options out of the box. I don't know wtf these guys were thinking.

But they are symbian apps.... :(
I have android...

All though no configurability, it works.
cpu, chipset and such options may be integrated later...

I'm still waiting for UAE for iPOD with Wiimote support. :/

A Jail Broken iPod of course because anything less than that is pointless. :)

Maemo UAE certainly is not Symbian app.

I have both maemo and android.

Without the configurability it is of little use for other than launching a couple of games.

Somehow I find it unlikely that they will be. The focus of this Android UAE appears to be games.

And from what I have gotten from forums, is that the developer is not doing it anymore either.

Controls are pretty useless from my experience. I loaded up Marble Madness, I don't know what was what, nothing seemed to respond.

Too bad, Amiga on Android could be cool though.

Has the developer released the source to it for others to carry on?

Unless your local kindly iPhone developer builds you a beta test version that you can install on your unjailbroken iPhone ;)
