New Directory Opus, the complete file management solution for Windows, has been released! Purchase it at AmiKit site and get 10% discount!

To clarify, DOpus version 10 for Windows has just been released, and a small discount is available via AmiKit.
-
So important amiga news that its even mentioned twice here :)
-
Well, I just followed the links & ended up with an AmiKit page that says "Document does not exist."
Is this some kind of joke or just plain old incompetence ?
-
Let me put it this way: I'd rather build a wintel machine just to run WinUAE and DOpus Magellan for Amiga than tolerate using M$'s operating system just for the shake of DOpus 10 for Window$.

No, linked to gpsoft and seems to work now.

DOpus 10 has Wiimote support? Cool!
-
Just a word of caution to current Dopus 9 users, (like myself), they can upgrade to 10 with a 40% discount.
The current-user upgrade code is already entered into the promo code field and obviously negates the Amikit code.

Before anybody complains about the relevance of this, bear in mind that anything posted by System (at least posts made since the forum went to vBulletin*) is just the news bot spidering various amiga related sites for articles.
*there are a lot of much older posts that were assigned to "System" during the migration that were made by posters the account details for which were long ago lost.
-
Not for me sorry!

I don't think anyone's suggesting you do that, but, if you use Windows already (as I and most others do for work), DOpus for Windows is a godsend. I can't even measure how much faster and easier it is compared to the embarrassment that is Windows Explorer. My productivity would be severely impaired without it.

If only dopus for windows was anything like Magellan on amiga.

How is it not?

How is it not?
Well, it's not meant to be an alternative windows shell (as in SHELL=dopus.exe or whatever in system.ini) as it doesn't come with a desktop replacement. Magellan on Amiga replaces workbench entirely.

Hm? DOpus for Windows does exactly that (if you tell it to). Maybe you test drove a system that had that option turned off?
Double-click the desktop and a DOpus lister opens, just like Magellan. And if another program opens a directory window (i.e., the "Find Target" button from file properties), it'll be a DOpus window.

That's too bad. I'm sitting here at work in front of my 27" Mac thinking how if DO were for -anything- but windblows, I'd get it. Maybe most others should upgrade their work machine.
-
I would rather use windows than OSx any day of the week
-
I'm sitting here at work in front of my 61" Amiga wishing that DO 10 would run on my Amiga.
