Title: How to remove CGFX
Post by: utri007 on May 11, 2011, 06:28:11 AM
I've tried to remove it several times, because I want to install P96. I haven't succeed yet.

What files I need to remove?

If I just remove monitor driver from devs and change screenmode to pal, to install P96 it messes up my system. I've allso tried tor remove CGX libratries etc.

This might be a silly question, but doesn't the install CD have a "remove" option when you attempt to do an install?

P69 has remove option, but not CGX

Just remove the monitor driver from Devs:Monitors. That will deactivate it and P96 should install and work happily.

To get rid of it completely, there are one or two cgx#? files in Libs:, along with CGXMode in Prefs, the CyberGraphX commodity (also usually in Prefs), some ENV vars in ENVARC:, showcgxconfig in Tools, and some Help files somewhere in HELP:. I think that's all.

Ah thanks.  I've used both and knew I saw one somewhere.  I switched to P96 once I bought a Mediator.
