If asking for a native version is too much of a long shot, do you think it would work hosted in Linux now that OtherOS is back?
http://gitbrew.org/otheros/
It would give me a reason to power up my ps3.

From what I've heard about Linux on the PS3, it is memory starved. AROS works most reliably under Linux but fastest and most efficient when running native. There are drivers for running AROS natively on the SAM440 series and the Efika but not hosted on PPC Linux. The hosted version only runs on Intel x86 Linux.

AROS can run hosted under linux on a PPC machine. I've done it on mac G5 tower running ubuntu 10. The "hosted under linux" AROS drivers (x11 or sdl graphics, host filesystem, sound, tap network) aren't CPU specific, and the hosted port CPU support has usually been done before the native version.
