Nice price, but...

I HATE THE BLOODY THINGS!

They really are the most uncomfortable joysticks to hold and the buttons suck on the one I have.

Someone remake the good old "fighter jet" joysticks with a thumb and index finger triggers and some industrial strength suckers on the bottom to fix it firmly to the desk.

I'll buy a couple.

:)

I ordered one because at that price it was too good to turn down.

I was actually going to order 2 but you click on it and it throws you straight to "Pay Now!".

That's very kind of you.  I expected to pay shipping on each item, but I was worried that if I placed 2 single orders then you might think it was an error and cancel one of them.  :)

Your ad says $2 for shipping, but my PayPal receipt says I was only charged $1.  I'll order another and then you'll get $2 for shipping.

here's the receipt showing $1:

Quote
Description Unit price Qty Amount
72 Hour Sale Amiga Joystick
Item# AmiJoySale $9.95 USD 1 $9.95 USD
Subtotal $9.95 USD
Shipping and handling $1.00 USD
Total $10.95 USD
Payment $10.95 USD

OK, 2nd one ordered and it only charged $1 for shipping again.

Something is up with your website.  ;)

Your ad says "Just $9.95 plus $2 shipping in the Continental USA and Bahamas. "  So technically, I've only paid $2 as your automated shop only charged me $1 each for shipping.

Did you mean to say $1 for shipping in the ad?

No, if you paid $2 total that is correct.

I'd like to order one or two joysticks, but how is that international order? You say it will have extra cost, but I can't see where to change the country or how much it costs? Clicking buy and logging into paypal will give $1 shipping.

After you buy the joystick you will get a Paypal invoice for the actual costs of shipping minus the $2 we cover for you.

@broken

You will have enough time, your order should squeak in before the sale expires.

Cool - I'll make a purchase here later tonight. Got one free from a contest and it needs a mate!  I actually like the joystick well enough. Especially like how rugged it is. While I'm protective of my original 2600 controllers, I don't mind when others play with these!   :)

Never was a fan of the Comp Pro.  Now this bad-boy (http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/131) would be near perfection if it had two buttons, but I can make do with the one it has.

Competion Pro joysticks are the dogs bollox when it comes to playing games, I'd never use any other type they're the best Joysticks ever made... :)

The original one were the best though with leaf spring contacts instead of micro-switches, near silent and nothing to wear out... :)

Wish I needed some, at those prices even with shipping that's a real bargain... :)

Glad to hear. I've never had one, so I ordered two. As a kid my favorite was probably the Epyx 500XJ... but those are long gone and/or broken. Recently I pulled out a barely used TAC-2 I stashed away, and was surprised at how sloppy it was compared to the PSX pads I've been using the last several years. I quickly remembered why I always hated the thing. TAC-2 - absolutely sucking the dogs bollox since its inception.

I looked at your side to order some but was not sure if you delivered to Europe and how much the shipping the Germany would be.
Can you clarify this?

One you buy a joystick a separate invoice will be sent to you for the cost. It's wherever the real shipping charge is minus $2.

I never liked the comp pro. Too much hand strain for long hours, and the buttons get stuck quickly, at least on mine.
Give me an arcade-style joystick or pad anytime.

Hmmm... doesn't that look quite much like Konix's Speedking, which has two button (Sega) versions too. Here's (http://jpv.wmhost.com/jpv_computers/buttons.jpg) my two button Speedking and it's working perfectly with WHDLoad games etc with two separate buttons. In recent years I've learned that it's the best joystick ever :) Too bad I didn't have it in "golden years"...

That's a pretty neat looking stick.  Wouldn't mind getting hold of one of those.  Might make Mortal Kombat a little more fun.  Though, I have gotten used to using the CD32 game pad.

That is awesome! I've started scouting ebay for a 500XJ. They seem to pop up there regularly, even NOS. The Star Cursor must be a rare beast... so is the Comp Pro CD32, been searching ages for one and always seem to miss out.

Here's what bothers me Damion said he was thankful but why shood he DescreetFx is a business

And also I would expect better service since they own this site and would not have been to hard

I just can't cope with joypads. They're usually made for left handed and are too unaccurate to control. I bought my new Amiga joypad for kids who haven't ever seen a real joystick, but never played anything with it myself ;) One theory with left hand controlling with joypads could be the heritage from classic arcade games, where manufacturers have wanted to make playing little more difficult to get some more coins ;)
