Ebay (http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3447155089&category=4611&rd=1) has an offer for two Simms of 128 Mb each !! :-)
-
19 hours and 32 mminutes to go, Price now is 35 GBP or 50 euro. Would be useful to put on a A1200 PPC or any Blizzard card, even on a 1230 :-)
Don´t know prices for this, but is it worth bidding on for that price or is it already too much ??? :-?
-
£35 sounds about right, as simms are traditionally more expensive than DIMMs anyway, and another thing worth baring in mind is that you can get a lot more from 128Mb on an Amiga than you can on a PC or Macintosh :-)
-
Those SIMMs look really big, not sure if they'd fit on a BlizzPPC.
-
I`ve got two HUGE 128mb simms mounted on my BPPC board. They anly just fit. One component touches one of them though. I just put a tiny peice of paper to seperate them. They fit anyway. I payed £50 for mine a mont or so ago.
-
The ones I got from Haymiggan were massive too, but they fit just fine. They were only about 2mm thicker than my old 32M SIMMs but they are easily 15mm taller :-)
One of the heatsink clips was touching flat mounted SIMM so I just put a bit of electrical tape over it and it works a treat.
256Mb on your 1200 is pretty nice - certianly makes various PC game ports more fun ;-)
-
A few hours before deadline I got a mail that the bidding was cancelled by the seller ... sniff ... guess I have to do it with a bit less than 256 Mb ... :-(
-
@Effy
Talk to haymiggan ;-)

Look on Amibench. You may be lucky and find the guy who I got mine from has some left. He did have a few pairs of 128 simms. Doubt it, but its worth try.
-
Seller offerst them again at starting price of 35,5 GBP (http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3448779254&category=4611)

I paid 45 pound from a pc dealer earlier in the year for a new128 mb simm. :-)
-
Merry X-Mas fellow amigans...
If anyone is still interested in those 128MB simms, write me a message, but it won't be possible to ship before first or second week of january or so.
At prices around 2 for 40 UKP.
Cheers,
Haymiggan (aka Povl from Denmark on amibench)

They have been tested in 1230, 1260, BPPC 040/060 and BSCSI-KIT IV and even an MTK1240 (think that's the name), they work as 32MB modules in a Draco as well. They won't fit in an Infinitive or desktop Amiga. Doublesidded, thick. HP brand, 60ns, 2K refresh, FPM.

256Mb on an Amiga.
