Hi does anyone own a triple play plus or quadra play midi interface?
and if so is it any good?
I ask because im looking to expand my midi gear and i could do with the 3-4 individual midi outputs.
I came accross the schematics and parts list on this website and im thinking of building one:
http://heim.ifi.uio.no/~ksvalast/nsm/index.cgi?news.khtml
The site also includes pluggins and library files to use the interface with bars&pipes and octamed soundstudio.
im an octamed user ;)
cheers
Sam.

I don't own one but I have lusted after one for a while. I think they are quite rare. A few years ago a company remade them or had plans to remake them but I never saw them in stock at any Amiga online shops.
If you check Alfred Faust's site (Bars and Pipes) he knows a lot about them too.
If you have the skills to make one yourself good luck. More than 16 channels of MIDI on an Amiga is a bit like the holy grail to me )

it sounds to good to be true for me haha :)
i came across it on the bboah when i was looking into getting a midi message processor/channel splitter
was on the lookout for a Yamaha MEP4 till i found out about the quadra play.
the parts to build one are available and it would cost less than £20 to make one :)
was just curious about its performance, the .guide file hints that it may be quite processor hungry ..
