Title: Internal Scandoubler trouble
Post by: Matt_H on December 21, 2003, 07:54:22 AM
Just got an internal scandoubler for my 1200T. It's the double reversed socket clip type (One part clips over Lisa, the other over Alice). It doesn't seem to be working. I've narrowed the trouble down to the following possible causes:

A) It's broken, or
B) It's not making contact with all the pins. I suspect it's this one. Does anyone have any advice for getting these clips to stay connected? Electrical tape's not cutting it. Maybe some kind of semipermanent electronics glue?

Thanks

try touch the cable softly (the one between the 2 sockets) , might be a loose connection there..  anyway what i used to do was...

powered the machine up and showed early boot menu (hold both mousebuttons on reboot)

and when i was sure the screen was up, i used my amazing skills :D and touched the cable until i got a picture, it worked indeed...later on i fixed the wire ofcourse but atleast i found out what was broken :)...

Hmmm....

I'm a little hesitant, as I don't really want to be poking around the chips with such a loose connection over them. I'm worried I'll pop the whole thing off while the power's on and fry something. I'll give it a try, though.
