If you can't find a nice working one for sale, I have a slightly dinged, non-working CDTV that I am willing to sell since I have replaced it with one of Carl Sassenrath's brand new CDTV units bought at the AmiWest 2010 Show.

I also have one in good shape, but no box I'm afraid.  Where are you located?

Hi Magnetic,

There is someone on the Toronto Craigslist that is advertising a CDTV in perfect condition:

http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/sys/2346333236.html

Give it a shot. He might want to ship to you.

Eh? I never heard there were any CDTV's for sale at AmiWest! Were there any CDTV keyboards & mice?

Also a CDTV was sold at last year's CommVEx.

You must have missed the reports from the 2010 AmiWest Show then.  Carl Sassenrath brought a whole load of computer gear from his basement to sell at the show after he gave his talk.  He had three brand new, never even opened CDTV's, plus he had a new, or little used CDTV-CR model and several CDTV expansion packs.  IIRC, the CDTV expansion packs had CDTV keyboards and maybe mice included and maybe an external floppy disk drive, but since I already had all of those items, I did not pay too much attention to what was included in the expansion packs.  I would have liked to get the CDTV-CR model, but it went for more money than I could afford and was sold before I even knew it was there.  Carl also sold some proto-types and other rare Amiga items.  He had several CDTV DCTV boards that fit in the video out slot and replace the standard NTSC cards in that slot, and I was able to get one of those at a great price.  The CDTV DCTV card does not include the digitizing part of the regular DCTV which connects to the parallel port, just a passthrough of the 23pin RGB port and a composite RCA jack to output the DCTV signal.

There were a lot of people that were upset that Carl sold his gear at the AmiWest Show and did not offer the rest of the Amiga community a chance to buy it online.  Maybe that will encourage more people to attend the AmiWest Show this year.  You never know who is going to show up and what they will have with them for sale at the show.  :rtfm:

He's looking for the RGB converter, not the DCTV itself.

I have a Nice CDTV working well with controller (no corrosion in battery compartment) it has been upgraded with developer eproms so it will run 1.3 or 2.x. It also has the CD1300 Genlock module, and a New Old Stock Black CDTV Keyboard. Case may not be 100% cosmetic but is not bad as I remember. No Boxes or Manuals.

PM for offers of $ or trades and we'll see what we can do if interested.
