Title: OCTAMED Screen Promotion HELP!
Post by: magnetic on April 10, 2011, 10:58:34 AM
Hey guys im trying to get into Octamed 4 and 5 (more 5). It looks really fun and I have some CU amiga tutorials to follow. Anyway, I dont have space for rhe 1084 monitor where my music setup is, so i'm trying to use an LCD monitor. I have a nice viewsonic 17in that works with the cbm silver box rgb adpator. I can get DBL NTSC no flicker and Multiscan Productivity modes nicely on it. It would be great to be able to use this in my music studio space instead of the clunky 1084.

Here is the weird part. When using Octamed 5 pro in NTSC Laced I get the cool colored meters in each of the channels. When I switch it to Multiscan Producitivity mode the colored meters in the channels go away and I get oscilliscopes under the channels instead?? Is it an octamed setting? I cant find any prefs on that..

Also, when I try to use Mode Pro to promote ntsc to  DBL NTSC the numbers in all the channels is all mixed up and unreadable..

Any help would be appreciated.

The VU bars were done using some oldskool copper effects IIRC. Don't be surprised if they don't work or are positioned in an unexpected place on other screen modes.
