Title: A1200 screws
Post by: webmany on April 04, 2011, 10:21:34 PM
Kind of a weird question, but does anyone have a picture what what the screws the hold a a1200 motherboard into the case?  Picked up a machine with no screws and trying to figure out if I have any that would work.

If you can't find any that will fit, I know AmigaKit.com (http://www.AmigaKit.com) can help you out with new screws.  I don't have a picture of the screws.

Tis a bit odd but, here you go... :)

Just remember the three screws at the front should never be any longer than 6mm in length otherwise you run the risk of them bursting through the top of the A1200's case... :)

PS: they are Philips head course thread screws and one Phillips head fine thread screw that goes through the metal bracket on the MB & case to hold it in place... :)

Im not a shill for amigakit, but its entirely possible its stuck in US customs. I had a recent package from the UK stuck for some 20 days in customs for no apparent reason.

Bonus points that they didn't even seem to have opened it to inspect it or anything

Didn't we cover this in another thread recently?

You never did say what shipping method you picked.

If you stayed with the default postal service option, then all your blame needs to be pointed at US customs.  Has fuck all to do with AmigaKit.

For a couple dollars you could have upgraded to FedEx Express and had your package in 2 business days.

Stopping going around preaching this like AmigaKit has anything to do with US Customs holding packages till they feel damned good and ready to release them.

One of my HD cradle screws stripped out.  Are these case screws the same as the cradle ones, or if they're different do you have them?

Oh boy we have some more weirdos now.. Ok I send and receive intl all the time. Customs hold up do happen but not often. I'm stating facts. I needed these parts for a repair 3 weeks ago I never would have ordered if I knew it would take this long.. Dont know why this is difficult to understand for you .

And a "couple of dollars more" i dont think so...

You are saying that if you knew ahead of time that there's a customs hold up in the country you live in, you wouldn't have ordered from a UK company?

You know. Sure.

Go for it

I love it. i've never been attacked on amiga sites before like this. Look, if this was some ebay transaction you guys would be ready to hang the seller.. not make excuses.  i doubt there is a customs holdup for a floppy drive ( which they xray and is declared) whatever, just relating my expierences.
