Title: about Franko
Post by: rednova on March 28, 2011, 05:19:45 PM
dear friends:

I am very sorry for all the flame/wars on my thread.
But I have something to say:

Franko had only nice things to say to me, and he even
gave me some useful advice about expanding my
amiga 1200.
Thank you Franko !!!

@ Rednova

First things first... YOU HAVE NOTHING TO APOLOGISE FOR SIR... :)

Very decent of you to do so but as I say there is no need for you to be sorry, it's the other way around and I indeed offer my sincere apologies to you for ruining your thread. I let my emotions get the better of me and stupidly got involved in something I should just have ignored... :(

Only too glad to help out with advice when I can and hope it was of some use to you... :)

So don't you blame anything that happened on yourself and keep on asking those questions that most here will only be more than happy to help yourself or others out with... :)

Cheers & Thank You

Franko

@ koatfder

Here for all to see is the PM I just sent you

Quote
Something to Say...
If you've got something to say about me mate then have the guts to PM me about it but don't keep pushing your luck on the forums...

Franko

That was sent in response to your remarks you have made in this thread and other where you are constantly saying things like "cool" because I got banned.

Now if you want to call that "nasty" then that's your choice but it not as nasty as the posts you were leaving on my site earlier and your not happy because I've deleted them and blocked you from posting anymore.

You and your little coalition of "old school aorg people"(magnetics words not mine) that magnetic was dumb enough to inform about in a PM, who are constantly complaining to the mods in order to get me banned for life can carry on with your pathetic little tactics.

As far as Im concerned if you have a problem with me then as I've said have the guts to take it up with me personally in a PM  as anything you have to say here on the forums from now on won't be read by me as you're now on my ignore list and let other people enjoy this site instead of trying to cause an argument with me... :)
Title: Re: about Franko
Post by: magnetic on March 28, 2011, 10:03:10 PM
Franko if it was the old aorg and Wayne was running it you would have been kick banned A LONG TIME AGO.

Repeat of other post in reference to your 1984 like recounting of what happened on that thread.

1. Franko threatened to kick my ass first (as did this other nimrod Retro whatever - and why did he threaten this? Because I was trying to buy a blizzard A1260 from a usa buyer and so was he and the us buyer said he didnt want to ship overseas to AU or wherever and I agreed its problematic and this guy wants to kick my ass now *sigh* what a child.

2. When I first had a problem with Franko I tried to PM him to tell him to stop spreading false rumours and leave me the hell alone... instead of doing so he stepped up his harassment and lies.

3. This fool goes around saying I ripped off amiga people on amibay and else where. Which is a complete lie yet he continues to do so over and over (how would any of you feel if some moron acused you on amiga forums of ripping other amigans off? )

4. I mentioned his ex-wife because I saw a post he had talking about how him and his ex wife used to sit around smoke cigarettes and drink coffee and play video games all night while their little daughter was "trained to empty the ashtrays and make coffee" This tells what kind of person you are dealing with and for me this is just a complete shame.

5. I'm glad you guys all love this guy who gives usually wrong or cryptic advice, talks idiotic scottish slang just to do so, hijacks threads constantly, etc etc because now he is quadrupling his post count. So now even more spam and childishness on aorg. So now, when serious people who used to have amigas are curious about aorg they see posts like his and run away. SO ENJOY HIM

ps Oh as far as the "intergiry" or however I spelled it, Yes its quite funny i have to admit. Being a college grad and writing sentences the way ( i had other spelling errors) I did shows you how infuriated I was with this no life loser. Oh and putting smilies after douchebag posts still makes you a douchebag.

This is all i'm going to say about this peasant and i'd love to know what settings I can make to completely ignore all of his posts?? please?

Go to your user CP and add "franko" to your ignore list.

Sadly it won't mute quotes of him up, but there you go.  Best way to handle it.

I posted that it was cool that you got banned because you are annoying as hell and spam irrelevant crap all over the place.

Would you care to expound on what exactly you mean about "pushing your luck"? I really would like to know. Perhaps you mean that you'll post my name and email address or something on your website and beg others to harass me like you did another user on here.

As far as comments on your website, that's an out right lie and you know it. Why on earth would you bother to make up something like that? Let me guess, you're retired and have absolutely nothing better to do with your time. The only person trolling your website is you.

Attacking users, starting flame wars, spamming, getting banned, writing nasty PMs, and exposing people's personal information for the purposes of getting people to harass folks isn't a sense of humor, it's called being an asshole.
Title: Re: about Franko
Post by: guest7146 on March 28, 2011, 10:30:52 PM
By the way Franko, here's my advice:

Don't bother yourself about these silly little arguments back and forth.  It's just a waste of your time.  If some people are irritated by your posts, well then that's their problem surely? Let them be the irritated ones, and you just carry on as normal.  You're not harming anybody, so they haven't got a case really have they.  But as soon as you allow them to bait you into a childish argument, then possibly they will have a case.  And childish argument just brings down the manner of the forum, regardless of whose fault it is.

Stick 'em in your ignore list and just carry on regardless.  I personally don't have any enemies on these forums (that I know of, anyway) but there's a couple of posters whose content I'd rather not concern myself with, so I set up the ignore list and Bob's your uncle.

AH.

I don't care when people toss around the label 'yank' or make other disparaging remarks. I expect it. The world really does revolve around the United States. It's perfectly understandable that folks from lesser countries feel inadequate considering that much of the world has their hand held out and expects the USA to fix everything.

Man this is crazy...

I'm missing all the loony remarks here cos of the ignore feature (cept in quotes)... :)

Wow some folk actually believe all that they read, never ceases to amaze me that does...

Here's a few more interesting facts about little old me for folks to believe... ;)

I mug old women on pension day... :)

I kick the dog every time I fart when we have visitors and tell them he just can't help himself and it because of all the curries he eats... :)

Yesterday I trained 3 squirrels to tap dance to "Can't Touch This" by M.C. Hammer... :)

Last year on holiday on the moon I pushed me grannie so hard just for a laugh and she floated off and was last seen by the hubble telescope floating round Mars singing "It's A Long Way To Tipperary"... :)

So there you have that's the gospel truth and of course you'd better believe it cos you read it on the net... ;)

Just off now to rob a few banks and win the lottery for the seventeenth time (cos I've got it rigged) so I can spend even more time on ebay buying Amiga stuff then re-listing it a double the price... :D

PS: You should try that ignore feature guys, it make for some hilarious reading... :D

I am of the understanding "yank" has 2 meanings. The first is if you are American and you live in New York then you are a yank as in the New York Yankees baseball team. The second is if you don't live in America then "yank" is a slang term for all Americans.

I'm pleased you've cleared that up, then you can be sure that the world does NOT revolve around the USA. We are not jealous. We don't want to be there, we don't care, if my family wanted to live in America they would have gone of the boat when we colonised it! I do know about global politics, and I am not European, I am English [British]. You want to look over to Europe pal, cos if we didn't all come over you wouldn't be here ;)

I agree with this. Americans did invent capitalism after all. Their obsession with goods sent the whole world bankrupt.

For the record i look at America the same way i look at Apple - nothing but marketing puff. I know perfectly well that Americas economy is the biggest in the world and that it is also the weakest. That doesn't sound like "The worlds most powerful empire in history" to me :)

Thanks for the virtual online drama all! In the time it took to read this entire thread, I had my dinner. Leftover green bean casserole w/ french onions on top, in case anybody was wondering. Good stuff. Anyway, this was much more entertaining than sitting in front of the tele, watching Springer or some other trashTV.

Time to go play with my MorphOS setup now. I'll be sure to tune back in in a little while. On my MacMini equipped MorphOS. With wireless keyboard, mouse and internet. On the HDTV big screen, that hangs on the wall. Yep, we Americans are the greatest *consumers* of all. I fixed that phrase for you Kesa.  ;)

Relax was at number one for 5 weeks and good old auntie beeb banned it for the using the words "when you want to come"... ;)

Wonder if they'd changed the words to "when you want to have an involuntary pelvic contraction" if it would have been allowed on Top Of The Pops... :D

Hehe I think the Two Tribes was something to do with the cold war during the 80s, there was like Gorbachov or whatever, the guy with the splodge on his forehead fighting in the ring and world figures of the time. Shame they stopped short of including a Maggie Thatcher look-a-like in the video, if I was there I'd kick the living daylights out of her.  What a battleaxe she was, f***ed the country good and proper for decades to come.

Ah well.. like I said night!

**sigh** I've got a headache. Thread is a little OT for this forum, shouldn't this be in the CH? ;-) What gets to me is the Country bashing, we're all adults are we not? Especially feel down when I fellow kiwi is running around using the term "yanks".

To be honest all the personal attacks, false truths it all starts to feel like a school playground.

Thought we were all here to discuss, promote and help with all things Amiga, or has the brief changed along the way?

I'm all for a chuckle now and then, so don't mind the Franko posts. But let us all be gentlemen (or ladies) and shake hands and move on? :-)

Anyway my A590 shall be reborn, 2MB RAM, 7.0 ROMS. Some power cable modding to come today when I get home due to the annoying newer PCB having a molex connector instead of the previous Commodore made up one. Fingers crossed I don't kill the SCSI drive LOL :-)

A shame I can't use the entire 37GB of the SCSI drive ;-)

If all goes to plan just leaves my RAM expansion woes haha :-) Ahh it's all good fun.

I don't believe that anybody actually finds franko's antics humorous. How many times do you have to see an insult followed up by a smiley face before it gets seriously old? How many times does franko have to take a dump in the forum before people stop patting him on the back trying to make peace?

I believe I instantly got tagged as a lap dog just because I agreed with magnetic. But that is ok. Retro_71 and fishy_fiz are Franko's slaves. Just found it too hilarious when both of them tried to be all high n mighty thinking they are better. But thats ok, i really dont care for them.

No, I would have to disagree with you and say that it is very boring to see the same crap and fighting going on day after day, with less and less Amiga related topics and people helping people going on.

It has gotten worse than Amigaworld.net here lately, and that is pretty bad.

I guess visiting less Amiga sites will give me more time to do other things each day, so not a complete loss.

hey, nich, baby, My mother is Belgian and my dad is Italian. This sort of thing is not uncommon in America. That's why it's called a "melting pot" even though that's rather an odd expression because people in America don't really "melt" or lose their heritage. At least not if they were brought up correctly.
Title: Re: about Franko

Well I'm truely "melted" as I have no idea the accurate list of countries contributing to my DNA. German and Irish are strong contenders but there's also good evidence of Italian and maybe even a bit of Asian in our tree. Seems my forebeares didn't give a hoot about where they came and didn't make knowing or caring a priority. Honesly I've inherited that part too since I don't care to research it. I've got enought work to do figuring out where I'm going without spending too much energy looking back.

Long live the "mutts" :)

To make my situation very clear I am what is known as "First generation" American. As I pointed out My mother was born in another country. English was not my first language. This informed my early experience.

Once a person's family has been in the country for a few generations things change a bit.

the point is, however, is that we are still American.

You - Franko="he who shall not be named and company"
Franko - C="they who shall not be named"

So...if I ever have to quote you about something HE says about THEM, I'll need to start with:

@he who shall not be named and company in regards to they who shall not be named..

Won't something get lost in this context? heh.

@ Number6

Right so "He who shall not be named" if he (or is that me) say's anything about "They who shall not be named" then he/me would in fact actually be talking about the original "They who shall not be named" and not the new "They who shall not be named" even if "They who shall not be named" are talking about "He who shall not be named"... :)

But what if the new "They who shall not be named" are talking about the original "They who shall not be named" then how can "He who shall not be named" distinguish between the two "They who shall not be named'ed"... :(

Gawd... me brain cell hurts... think I/Me/We/He shall have to go and soak it in a nice cold glass lemon tea.... :)

America is a complicated experiment. Melting pot and fractured at the same time. More recently if feels like the list of people and ideas allowed to be melded is being censored, while still others don't want to meld and fragment themselves. Just isn't going to come to a good end that way.

Yeah, I know man. I actually was away from aorg for a long time as I didnt use classics anymore and went on to Morphos.. however now I'm back into it i WAS enjoying amiga.org. Now i'm considering not coming here anymore as it seems like the only people that really post are posers who use uae, or are weird amiga horders with no life whatsoever.. (umm i know you have an amiga horde but you are a nice guy and actually never say bad things about anyone, and you do much for the community)

But with guys like REtro and Franko (notice all the douchebags who threaten people and make insane or insulting comments put smilies like that make it ok? )

Retro: yeah, you're bored with it because people came out and exposed you for your stupidity. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN ANY AMIGA PERSON THREATEN ANOTHER ON AMIGA ORG UNTIL NOW.  And i'm sure not going to stand idle when you stupid , fat, no life retards sitting in front of a computer threaten me.

and Australia is the best at what exactly? What is one thing you do for the global community. Give me a break. You exposed your stupidty so do yourself a favour and stick to amiga topics.

After the first 3 original posts in this thread then from the bits n bobs that I can read it would seem that the subject of "that which shall not be discussed" could be anything under the sun...

So the chances of finding out just what "that which shall not be discussed" are about as much as this thread ever making any sense anymore... me thinks... or rather me doesn't methinks anymore, I think !!!
