Title: 11.50 cents, later I'm a winner, or a loser?

I got many A1000 goodies here hope I can fuse parts together to make one working machine. Then I hope to sell it...

Hahaha, I saw that auction too. Case badges are missing... wtf? Guy wanted to keep them for nostalgic reasons or something? Surprised he didn't keep the top lid too ;)

Re: being a winner or loser... who knows? There might be a Phoenix mobo or Rejuvenator under the hood! :laughing:

I have these goodies that need to go into an A1000:

AdIDE
3.1 roms and Rom switcher
1 Meg Insider board.

Then again, I don't know if they are still working, all part of the mystery !

Trouble is trying to get all this stuff to work at once, is what killed my last A1000 (I still have it).

It's so trashed already, I could paint it some obnoxious color or something...

White means the CPU has totally f-ing failed! That is an awesome improvement! That means there is a ROM working! Who cares about CPUs, get to that later...

Diagnosis: critical , with possibility for a complete recovery.

Is the switcher a DKB KwickStart II, that uses the 4 ROM setup? I was not aware that anything else would work.

Well actually, DKB made a couple different kinds of KwikStart, I have both of them. One is the 4 rom kind you describe, it will work in an A500 or A1000

There is another kind, with the long single rom chip, designed only for the A1000.
