Post by: abruzzi on March 14, 2011, 03:59:25 AM
Someone in germany want to ship me this:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Draco-Cube-MacroSystem-Amiga-Clone-68060-128MB-/190510940705

I don't think I've ever seen one up for sale...

The seller is offering worldwide shipping, so not sure why you need someone else to ship it?

In abruzzi’s defense the page IS in German including the shipping info.  Not all of us are multi-lingual.  HECK!  I'm dyslectic and spell phonetically (and yes, the fact that the WORD phonetic isn't spelled phonetically is the biggest oxymoron in the world!).

Actually it's 98% in German, but in english a couple of sentences under the photos :

"Shipping cost WorldWide

please send Mail for Information"

Not very good english but it's english :)

After viewing so many German auctions you also pickup afew words i.e. Weltweit = Worldwide.

To be honest the best stuff seems to be on ebay.de

But what can you do with it in 2011? A bit slow for video work?

No point me bidding on it vs your unlimited supply of RBS three pound notes. :(

@ Kesa

It's spray painted silver & coated in clear lacquer, you numptie (look closely at the inside)... :)

@ Nicholas

If you're gonna bid I'll drop out, as I'm running out of space to put all this stuff (currently bought 7 A1200s, 4 VIC 20s, 4 C64s, 5 Accelerator/Ram Boards, 3 4xEIDE buffered interfaces, 4 Midi Interfaces, 3 Sound Samplers, 8 Vic20/C64 Tape Decks, 7 VIC 20 16k RAM cartridges and a whole lot of other stuff that I haven't even checked out yet... :))

Plus I'm waiting on another 6 auctions to end, think I need to buy a bigger house now...

I'm in the same boat myself, got so much to put on ebay but no time to do it so the house is overflowing with Amiga stuff atm.

Hmm... wonder if I've been buying some of your goodies (any chance of a bulk discount) just ran off a fresh batch of genuine Scottish £50 notes...

Odd according to eBay I've bought 79 items in the past 60 days but I can't seem to account for all of them...

PS: anyone here bidding on this Blizzard060 board, as I don't really need it an I would only end up pushing up the price if I start bidding on it, so if anyone here's bidding let me know and I'll drop out... :)

...about the same (but not quite) things ya can do with a VT/Flyer system in 2011.
I know, out dated and out classed by todays standards. Wanted one back when they were new. Still kinda cool though.

My post was half in jest.  I could probably afford to bid this up to around $400 or so, assuming shipping came in under $100, but I imagine it will run higher than that.  It seems to me it pretty much as useful as any other amiga, unless you want to play games (which I don't) or stick a toaster in it.  It runs the OS, just not the custom chips, so OS friendly apps should work fine.

It is a really cool machine.
