Recently bought some Amiga software and the manual is in AmigaGuide format.
I thought that maybe it would be easier for some to read in PDF format.
I am going to take this AmigaGuide manual and create a PDF version, for my own use.
What are other peoples view on this?

I like both, depending on what the docs are. Sometimes Id prefer pdfs, sometimes Id prefer amiga guide. The downside of amigaguide is that there's no images, the downside of pdf is theyre much heavier, and there's no great amiga pdf viewers.

PDF is certainly more portable between different platforms, and easier to read. But it has the big drawback, that it can only be displayed on Amigas with high-end cpus and lots of fastmem.
Amigaguide documents, on the other hand, are not so portable, but they can be read in all Amigas without difficulty (And BTW they can display images if you know how to).
My 2 cents.

There's also Amiga Guide viewers for other OSes (WinGuide for example).

AmigaGuide is more closely related to HTML, but I'm very sure you don't need our permission to "print" your AmigaGuide files to PDF :)

I much prefer AmigaGuide rather than bloated Amiga-unfriendly PDFs.

AmigaGuide is always better.

I'm having a hard time thinking of anything you'd gain by converting them to PDF. They wouldn't look nicer, and it'd be hell to read them on a low-end Amiga. And if there's viewers on other platforms for AmigaGuide, I really don't see the reason.
But then, I've always preferred plaintext or minimally-formatted plaintext anyway...

I guess I prefer PDF because of ease of use with other platforms and the ability to print hard copies on other platforms. I have to admit that I'm a "hardcopy" type of guy. I like to have a printed copy of the docs in my hands while I'm sitting at my Amiga. If all I owned was an Amiga then I would prefer AmigaGuide.

Should be just as easy to get hardcopy from AmigaGuide format, though...
